Friends and partners of Kingdom Extreme, We need your prayers. One of our columnist, Jeremy Willet of the band Willet has not been able to contact his wife who is a missionary to Haiti. As you may know Haiti was hit bay a very strong earthquake on Tuesday. You can see news coverage of the damage and situation here.

UPDATE:
We were so thankful to learn of Kathleen and the volunteers, and the children’s safety yesterday. Today, a text was sent to Kat’s mom that said, “Hey mom, I’m ok’ We r waiting to get internet up to tell all what is going on we r ok just being there for those who have lost I will keep in touch. God is so amazing! ” – Kat Because of the magnitude of the earthquake, much prayer is still needed for the following: 1. Safety because of the enormous amount of looting taking place in Haiti as survivors desperately search for food and water. 2. Many Aid organizations still haven’t been able to land in Haiti because of the backed up airport and poor infrastructure of the capital of Port-au-prince 3. 6 of 19 Food for the Hungry staff members have checked in so far – still waiting to hear from many of their conditions… 4. This earthquake is being called “hell came up” by Haitians. Our response to this will determine if they feel as though “Heaven Came Down”…. I’m hoping to be able to get a hold of Kathleen via phone sometime today.

We rejoice that they are safe – but we can not cease to pray. -Jeremy

Most associate the name Aaron Sprinkle with production credits in liner notes as an all-star producer (Anberlin, Acceptance, Copeland, The Almost, Demon Hunter, Kutless, Jeremy Camp) based in Seattle, WA. However for those that pay attention, he has also been a leader of Poor Old Lu and Rose Blossom Punch and more recently Fair, who released their debut album “The Best Worst-Case Scenario” in 2006 on Tooth & Nail Records. Sprinkle and team are back with Fair’s sophomore release, “Disappearing World,” set to release February 9, 2010.
With their debut album, Fair received wide media acclaim. Absolutepunk.net stated that it was “toward the top of their list for 2006”; Jesusfreakhideout.com named the album “really impressive”; Emotionalpunk.com said it was “a perfect collection of songs”; Sputnikmusic.com touted that “Fair is much better than its name.” It is no surprise that fans are ready for the second dose of this band who is known for sophisticated songwriting and structured pop song appeal.

“Musically I wanted to really tap into my influences, which are mostly ‘60s and ‘70s and lot of ‘80s too,” says Sprinkle. “And that’s really the feel of this record- a lot of very retro moments wearing those influences on our sleeve. The record’s more dynamic and exciting in some places than the last one, but it’s also more fragile and sincere in other places.”

Putting himself in the spotlight as opposed to sitting in the producer seat, Sprinkle is excited about this album more than any other record.

“I’ve never been this excited about something I’ve done before,” he promises. “I don’t question a single moment on this record and that’s a huge thing for me because normally I’m incredibly insecure when it comes to my own music. I’m so happy with every moment and I owe that to the guys in the band because it’s a great place for me to bounce ideas off of.”

Back this second round are members Erick Newbill (guitar), Joey Sanchez (drums, percussion) Nick Barber (bass) and Aaron Sprinkle (vocals, guitar). For more information visit: www.myspace.com/fair. Facedown Records is proud to announce the signing of St. Louis, Missouri’s In The Midst of Lions.
In the Midst of Lions grew up in the St. Louis music scene saturated with hardcore and indie bands. “Our local scene influenced our style to be a little bit different than the run of the mill death metal.” A mixture of fast-paced tech metal and grinding melodic worship, their sound can be compared to such contemporaries as Meshuggah, The Faceless, Whitechapel, and Darkest Hour.

ITMOL have been chomping at the bit to have the opportunity to tour full time since signing to Strike First Records in 2008, and that’s exactly what they’ve been able to do. When citing goals touring is at the top of the list. “We’ve had a great time on the road and have pulled through a lot of van and trailer problems to stay on the road as much as possible and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”

With a Facedown album now in the works, ITMOL expects that the album will dwarf their previous Strike First release, saying that the concept of the album will be focused on God’s wrath and humanity’s release from that wrath that God has provided.

In the Midst of Lions signed to Facedown Records in the winter of 2009 and continue to tour heavily in promotion of their debut album Out of Darkness.

Strike First Records come screaming into the new year with a stellar release from New Zealand natives SAVING GRACE. With a January 5th, United States release date this disk is sure to warm your frost bitten fingers on a cold winter’s night. There is killer guitar work, something that is often lacking in hardcore bands, and the breakdowns are brutal. The album opens with a track title “End of Days (intro)” that made me want to jump right out of my desk chair and start my own private mosh pit right here in the office. Continue Reading

Metal legends LIVING SACRIFICE are giving fans their first taste of one of 2010’s most anticipated hard rock releases, The Infinite Order, out January 26 on SolidState Records.
The first single, “Rules of Engagement,” is available today for purchase on iTunes and for streaming on the band’s MySpace page.

“Rules of Engagement just came out as a really strong song musically,” says singer and guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh, who, with the rest of LIVING SACRIFICE, is celebrating 20 years of genre-defining metal. “It was one of the last songs that we wrote for the record and it came together really well. It was one that we wrote in pre-production. We all agreed that it would be the song that we wanted for the video.” The video will be making its debut shortly.

LIVING SACRIFICE has also opened the gates for album pre-orders, with several options available, including added value such as DVDs and t-shirts. Options can be viewed here.

The band’s seventh full-length overall, and first since 2002’s acclaimed Conceived In Fire, The Infinite Order finds the band returning to its thrash roots for an unapologetic reminder as to exactly why so many of today’s heavy music leaders hold LIVING SACRIFICE and their legacy in such high esteem.

“You can hear LIVING SACRIFICE’s legacy in the entire generation of bands who’ve come after them… And those bands still haven’t caught up,” says Tim Lambesis of AS I LAY DYING.

“LIVING SACRIFICE definitely helped pave the way for our band’s crossover,” chimes in UNDEROATH’s Tim McTague.

Produced by Jeremiah Scott (DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY) and mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, AS I LAY DYING), The Infinite Order finds LIVING SACRIFICE once again pushing the envelope of the metal genre, incorporating new dynamics and thrashier / more aggressive elements into a formula sure to appeal to fans throughout the metal diaspora. “The music is fast, heavy and thrashy,” Fitzhugh said to AOL Noisecreep. “We love metal and playing heavy music. We didn’t wimp out at all.” Let the countdown begin.

On Nov 29th Family force 5 member Joshua “Fatty” Olds was taken to the emergency room because he was throwing up and had blood in his urine. He was reportedly in great pain, but in good enough spirits to be singing Michael Jackson songs. What was originally thought to be kidney stones turned out to be some sort of kidney failure. He was transferred to another hospital and was reportedly severely dehydrated. He was sequentially moved to a Intensive Care room and placed on dialysis.
Since he has begun Treatment, he has been able to eat some yogurt and fruits, and even urinate a little on his own. He has also been moved from ICU to a regular room. Hopes are that he will be released from the hospital around Dec 15th if things continue to progress.

The band missed two shows on the Christmas Pageant tour, but returned to the stage sans-Fatty in Cincinnati, OH and will continue on through the rest of December. The band has also announced they will be hitting the road in 2010 with Cobra Starship.

Hailing from Nashville Tennessee, in the heart of America’s deep south, metalcore monsters A Plea For Purging have built a strong reputation for amazing technical ability, fire-breathing and an intense touring schedule which has seen them play over 700 shows in the last 3 years alone! Sweeping across their native land with a gruelling touring schedule, releasing two well received EPs and one breakout album A Plea For Purging went into the studio to record with legendary producer Joey Sturgis (Devil Wears Prada, Gwen Stacy, Attack Attack). Taking inspiration from a diverse range of artists ranging from Meshuggah and Radiohead to Slipknott and even T.I the result, Depravity, is a bone crunching mix of raging vocals and elegantly twisted harmonies. After firmly establishing themselves in their native land A Plea For Purging have set their sights on Australia. The band inked a deal with rising Aussie indie label El Shaddai Records, who successfully brought the sounds of artists like Forgiven Rival, House vs Hurricane and recently Antiskeptic across thier sun soaked nation. “We wanted to find a home with a label that understood the Australian market and that we also felt comfortable working with. We couldn’t be happier” said guitarist Blake Martin. Phil Kennedy, label President, said “A Plea For Purging’s a killer band and it’s a great honour having them join our growing family”. The band and new Australian home El Shaddai Records will start their Australian conquest by releasing their Facedown Records (Comeback Kid, War of Ages, Nodes of Ranvier) hit Depravity in early 2010. The exclusive Australian Edition version of Depravity will have a few little surprises. “We want to give a little something special to our Aussie fans that have waited patiently for this record to land on their sunny shores” guitarist Blake Martin explained.
The band also plans to make the long trip out to tour there next year which will mark the first time Australian fans get to taste Andy Atkins, Blake Martin, Tyler Wilson, John Wand and Aaron Eckermann unleash their power onstage. Until that time Australian listeners of Depravity will be sure to see why the bands faith in their craft is indestructible; the place from which Depravity is born.

Essential Records GRAMMY Award nominated rock band RED announces the launch of its 2010 “Nothing And Everything” tour. The tour will additionally feature fellow hard rock band and labelmate, Pillar and special guests The Wedding and Me In Motion.

Kicking off Jan. 14 at Fort Smith Event Center, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the tour is a meeting of two rock powerhouse bands: RED, who established itself among the upper echelon of rock bands in just three short years, and Pillar, who helped to pioneer the Christian hard music movement. Touring together for the first time, both bands will bring their signature brand of rock to one stage for a riveting concert event.

Randy Armstrong of RED, comments, “At our shows, we always play off the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd. We know how enthusiastic our fans are and imagine Pillar’s fans are just as wild. The combination is going to be explosive. This will be the rock tour of all rock tours.”

“RED has a similar stage dynamic, which makes this a powerful ticket,” says Pillar frontman Rob Beckley. “We are excited they asked us to be a part of the tour and look forward to putting on a show our fans, and theirs, can be proud of.”

A tentative tour itinerary follows this release. For the most up to date list of tour dates and to buy tickets for the “Nothing and Everything” tour, please visit: www.redmusiconline.com or www.pillarmusic.com

Nashville-based RED, made up of Michael Barnes (vocals), Anthony Armstrong (guitar) Randy Armstrong (bass), and Joe Rickard (drums), has logged an impressive 1,000+ live shows since releasing its debut album End Of Silence in 2006.

RED’s GRAMMY nominated sophomore project, Innocence & Instinct (2/7/09) released with more than 40,000 in first week sales and climbed its way to the Top 5 on iTunes Top Albums chart. To date, the band has earned eight consecutive No. 1 radio singles, the last three of which are from Innocence & Instinct. The band simultaneously released a Deluxe Edition of Innocence & Instinct that includes four bonus tracks and a DVD featuring the “Death of Me” music video, a “making of” documentary and more. For more information about RED, please visit: www.redmusiconline.com.

Since the 2006 emergence of End Of Silence RED has maintained a near-constant presence on the road, touring alongside notable rock names such as Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Saving Abel, Sevendust, Staind, Kutless, Trapt, Third Day, Switchfoot and others, and rave reviews for the band’s live shows have poured in via both print and online outlets alike.

Over its 10 year career, Pillar has reached nearly 1 million in album sales (including two albums with sales exceeding 300,000 copies each), performed for more than three million people and tallied 10 No. 1 radio singles, 13 Top 5 hits, a GRAMMY nomination, four Dove Awards, nine national headlining tours. Confessions, Pillar’s sixth studio album — debuting the talents of new members, bassist Rich Gilliland, drummer Taylor Carroll and new producer, Rob Graves (Red, Wavorly) — released Sept. 22, 2009. The album has inspired Pillar frontman Rob Beckley to write a book elaborating on important themes from the record. Co-produced with the American Bible Society, the book, aptly titled “Confessions,” will be available free of charge on January 14 at www.pillarmusic.com/confessions or at Pillar concerts.

Pillar’s previous studio album, For the Love of the Game (02/26/08), debuted at No. 4 on SoundScan’s Christian (overall) album chart. Since Pillar’s Dove Award-winning label debut Above in 2001, the band has graced the cover of numerous Christian and mainstream magazines with features in Rolling Stone, Spin, Bass Player, and Hit Parader. The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based band also won Fuse TV’s “Next Big Thing” award and has seen its music played on numerous ESPN sports programs, including SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight (during montage highlights from the 2007 World Series) and College Gameday, as well as CBS and FOX Sports. Steve Rowe and the crew at Roxx Productions are gearing up for some pretty cool things in the new year. Steve and his wife celebrated their 20 year anniversary, pus Steve gives us up to date info on the track liistings for “Break The Curse 1990 – 2010 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition” release from Mortification. For all the details

Hello and welcome to all the exciting December news here at Rowe Productions. Firstly, and most importantly, I have the best of all 20th Anniversary announcements happening today, December 1st. My wife Kate and I were married in The 80’s! Legendary Decade! Yes, we were married December 1st 1989 and I am proud to say that I married my Best Friend and Soul Mate. Kate is a Mighty Woman of God who has stuck with me all these years through some of the toughest of times any married couple could face. Not only with me being in Music Ministry all these years, but also surviving double cancer. I was given 2 hours to live twice in ‘97 and ‘98 and now living with paraplegia and ill health. Kate is the most tremendous gift God ever gave to me!! “He who finds a Godly wife finds a good thing”. Go to www.roweproductions.com to enjoy a collage of photos – some from ‘89 and some taken a week ago. I love you Kate!!

The latest in Music news is that Roxx Records USA will be releasing an extended 20th Anniversary Gold Edition Re-Issue of the very first Mortification Album “Break The Curse 1990″. Roxx has some great Pre-Sale Offers for the first 100 orders. Check out the Official Press release from Roxx right here and then to The Roxx Site so that you can get into that first 100 and grab all the extras!!

Roxx Productions/Records PRESS RELEASE
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
1990 was a year that would forever change and have an impact on the Christian Metal scene. The world would see releases from some of the most seminal artists in the scene: Vengeance Rising – Once Dead; Deliverance – Weapons of our Warfare; Believer – Sanity Obscure and Tourniquet – Stop the Bleeding, just to name a few!

These albums would forever have an impact and leave their mark on the Christian Metal Scene. But one album and one album alone would turn the Christian Metal Scene upside down! Mortification’s Break the Curse would hit the metal world like a raging storm!

In other exciting news I am now supported by Fender! The biggest Guitar Company in the world!! These past 3 years I have started playing Fender Mustang Short Scale Bass Guitars to help with my balance and poor eye sight while standing on stage. I have seen the value of these tremendous instruments in other ways also. My 13 year old son Leighton has now taken up Bass Playing over Drums and Keys because he has a Bass that he can get his smaller hands around. The Vintage Mustang Re-Issues are made for young players and people who prefer the shorter scale for whatever reason. They are a Mighty Pocket Rocket of an instrument!

Part of my Vision for The Fender Mustang is to present the idea of Bass playing to young teens looking to take up the Coolest Instrument possible! Most are put off by the difficultly of playing long scale Basses. The biggest lack of players in Churches and schools is Bass Players. So if you are young or simply find the long scale Basses too daunting to play then The Fender Mustang is The Coolest Instrument you should learn and play! Check them out online and tell them Steve Rowe from Mortification sent you. A truly great investment for life, learning to play, starting a Band and Serving your Church and Youth Group Worship teams!

The Layout for The Nuclear Blast release of Mortification “Twenty Years In The Underground” is looking Awesome! There is a big chance that the first pressing of this Double CD will be in quality Digipak format. I will have more details next month. “Twenty Years In The Underground” is set for a February 26th release. The Roxx Records 20th Anniversary “Break The Curse 1990″ Gold Edition Re-Issue will be out the same day!!

Finally, as you all know this month Lincoln Bowen, Andrew Esnoug and Myself will be Recording The Debut Wonrowe Vision Album titled “Mission Invincible”. It will be a Slab of Classic Rock n Roll and Stoner Rock with a Heavy 80’s Punk edge and upfront Jesus Message!!! “Robocoptor” (Our Mascot) Sez – Keep It Real!! In The January Update I will give you the Track Listing and you will get to see The Killer Band Logo. I will present The Album cover in February. It looks set for a June release! If you wish to support the Recording of this exciting new Mission’s Band you can do so via Paypal – info@roweproductions.com

Thank You to All The Dedicated Rowe Productions supporters!
